"Uncontrolled lust" is that what you feel to get married? If it is than your relationship is in serious trouble. Should we as gays assume that all heterosexuals have for one another is lust?

are you seriously just eleting all of your comments? I just offered you a reasonably short, easily understood article explaining what the bible says and doesn't say about homosexuality. I'm not throwing flames or anything, just giving you a chance to give our point of view a shot.

You're just repeating what people have told you it says. Why don't you read a scholarly analysis on the subject written by a heterosexual Baptist named Bruce Lowe? I think you might be surprised.

You can read/download it for free at www.GodMadeMeGay.com. Educate yourself. You're worth it, and so are all the people that other people are using religion to discriminate against.

With all due respect, this country is based on religious freedom - and actually, freedom as a general concept. My religious beliefs do not say that homosexual love is wrong, and I do not appreciate you (and people like you) forcing your religious beliefs on me. I don't expect you to embrace same-sex couples just because their union is legally recognized, in fact, you can go right on believing that they are a sin. However, denying them to marry is forcing your religious beliefs onto the people of this country - utterly UN-American - or at least it used to be...

America is supposed to be about freedon. Please stop slowly taking it away from people who you believe to be different. Just like Freedom of Speech - it takes a strong and intelligent person to recognize that supporting that idea means that you must also support those who say what you don't agree with - a very difficult thing to do. But if you truly believe in freedom, then you must find a way to realize that every American deserves the freedom to find happiness and peace.

Gays do not choose to be gay any more than one can choose their race. It is something one is born with. One can come out, or live in the closet. Many choose the closet to avoid those who hold them in contempt for being who they are.

Fortunately the Bible can no longer be used for modern human standards of morals, number one because it is a highly inaccurate text of events that are by large, very unrealistic, because of numerous contradictions, and now in 2008 there are educated people that can distinguish fact from fiction and superstition.

The only good thing about Christianity is maybe some of Jesus philosophy which is very incompatible with the wickedness of the bible.

No sorry Mr. Philip, you are not the person of love that you Christians pretend to be, and god would not need an inaccurate book to represent itself, you may need one for your own personal inefficiencies.

I however am not a religious person maybe more of a deist such as the founding fathers of our country which had no regard whatsoever for christaniy.

On the matter however there are people better informed than you on what the bible says about homosexuality, and before I would go off and spread ignorance and hate, I would do my homework.

I would suggest you take a look that is in PDF form on a website called:
Pridedepot.com in the lower right hand corner of the home page you will see an article that in titled: "What the Bible doesn't say about homosexuality" .

So if you sustain what you say in your article, you at least would like to back it up with some information, don't you think.

And if a god does exist, you should at least attempt the find the correct one, or at least one that can give correct information, for example; on the earths creation and on the development of life on earth.

However let me give you a hint, it was not done in seven days and man was not formed by dirt and woman was not formed by a rib, these are tales and we have in our time evidence to prove these are tales.

Therefore Genesis if completely wrong, therefore it is all "Hogwash".

An I hope you do not forget the churches were against interracial marriage.

If you live in this day and age and you still believe in the bible you are not living according to gods word but you are living in denial.
